Food was my first great love. As a kid, I’d sneak into the kitchen early in the morning—the house slept soundly until around 8am most weekend mornings—just so I could experiment, without having to ask permission. I loved experimenting with different tastes and textures and how they came together; that curiosity never left me. Of course, with that love of food came a lifelong struggle with weight. I would put on weight only to immediately turn around and try to find the quickest and easiest way to shed it. I tried it all—Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Atkins, Keto. Each time, I’d make progress, only to fall back into old patterns. Eventually, I realized I didn’t just need another diet. I needed a completely new relationship with food. At 30, I dove in headfirst. I left my business career behind and enrolled in culinary school. I wanted to learn how to truly respect food—not just how to make it taste good, but how to use it to care for myself. Funny enough, classical French training (hello, butter and cream!) gave me exactly the technical foundation I needed. From there, I started creating dishes that felt indulgent but were made with health in mind. Something that would trip me up in the past was diet boredom. I'd eat the same flavors and textures over and over again, and then overindulge the minute I tasted something new and exciting. So I made it my mission to never be bored by a healthy plate again. Now, I create food that satisfies my cravings and makes me feel good. That’s the balance I’ve been chasing. And that’s what I’d like to share.
